Mark McCarthy

President

Mark McCarthy graduated from C.W. Post College, Long Island University in 1984 with a B.S. in Finance. After graduating, Mark became an Account Executive in 1985 with EF Hutton & Co. Joined the Robinson Humphrey Company in 1989 where he became a Senior Portfolio Manager. In 1995, he joined J.C. Bradford and Company as a Partner with the firm. Bradford is a predecessor firm of UBS where Mark is a First Vice President - Investments today. He was also a previous Board member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Georgia (1995-2000). Mark has been involved as a patron to the arts and the Towne Lake Arts Center for over 4 years. He has been married to Gai Lynn for 21 years and has three children; Christopher, Erin and Matthew.

Mike Tank

Vice President

Mike Tank is a communications professional whose background and skills make him uniquely qualified to help businesses address communication issues.

He understands how to communicate with the media because he is a journalist. He has interviewed hundreds of individuals and produced countless stories for several television outlets including ESPN, FSN, TNN, Speed Channel, PGA TOUR Productions and several network affiliates.

Mike also understands how to communicate with the public. While at The William Cook Agency (FL), he advised clients how to attract positive attention from the public. He developed a number of successful public relations campaigns that improved the financial health and reputation of several large companies.

During his time at the Cook agency, Mike developed a unique, interactive media-training workshop (Headlines and Your Bottom Line), which teaches participants how to improve their financial bottom line through an effective relationship with news media.

Currently, Mike operates a video production business which specializes in producing in-depth, high-impact videos for businesses, organizations, schools and churches. He also helps PR firms, television networks and TV production companies in a freelance capacity.

Mike was a Mass Communications major at St. Cloud State University (MN) and at the University of Iowa.

Mike and his wife have three daughters, who provide him with the opportunity to use his communications skills on a daily basis.

Jim Harkins

Secretary

Jim has lived in Woodstock with his wife, son and daughter for the past 15 years. He became involved with the Towne Lake Arts Center after his daughter attended camps and classes and was cast in several productions.

Jim has over twenty years of experience in the telecommunications and financial transaction processing industries.

He holds a degree is Management Information Systems from the University of Massachusetts, a Certificate in IT Project Management from Georgia Institute of Technology and is a certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP). He is currently employed at AT&T as a project manager.

Susan R Alexander

Treasurer

"Sue" lives in Woodstock with her husband, Charles, one Himalayan cat, Daphne and one dog, a Cairn Terrier, Bozo. Charles teases her all the time about being a "Yankee" since he was born and bred here in Georgia. Sue was originally from Pennsylvania but has been a Southerner since 1986. She has always been interested in the arts, but has no talent, so vicariously lives thru the Towne Lake Arts Center board! Sue knew Gay Grooms and that is how she first became associated with TLAC. Sue is the assistant branch sales manager at the Wade Green Road branch of Colonial Bank and has been in banking since 1986. Sue was a former officer of the local Cherokee Eagles American Businesswomens Association here in Woodstock. Sue is proud of her association with TLAC and what it brings to the area residents.

Donald E. Kyle

Member

Don is a Certified Public Accountant in Georgia with more than 25 years experience in both public accounting and private industry. He has gained significant managerial and business expertise during this time. Further, Don is a licensed real estate agent in Georgia.

Following his graduation from Florida State University in 1981 as a cum laude graduate in Accounting, he spent the first 10½ years of his career in the audit departments of KPMG Peat Marwick as a supervising senior auditor, Arthur Andersen & Co. as an audit manager, and Gifford, Hillegass, and Ingwersen, P.C. as a senior audit manager.

In January 1991, Don became the Chief Financial Officer for Atlanta Medical Associates, a multi-specialty physician group practice in Atlanta with approximately 50 physicians. Don was directly responsible for all financial aspects of the group's operations, including the business office, data processing, financial and tax accounting, strategic planning and budgeting, banking, and other treasury functions. In March 1993, Don helped start up and became the President and Chief Operating Officer of Metropolitan HealthCare, Inc., a company that owned and operated primary care physician practices. Don was responsible for the overall management and operation of that company, including recruitment of new physicians, acquisition of new physician practices and negotiations with third party payers and vendors.

In July 1994, Don and his wife, Gina D. Carr, started Advantage Financial Group, Inc. and in January 2005, started Advantage Mortgage, Inc. Prior to January 2005, the mortgage operations were operated under the trade name of Gina D. Carr, d/b/a, CFG Mortgage Services. Don is responsible for the financial and administrative issues for these companies. Don is also the Publisher of Advantage Financial Group, Inc.'s community magazines, The TowneLaker (www.townelaker.com) and Sixes Living Magazine.

In June 2002, Don and Gina started Around Town Community Magazine, Inc. (ATCM - www.aroundtowncm.com), a company that franchises community magazines. Don is President of ATCM. The TowneLaker and Sixes Living Magazine are two of the six current franchises of ATCM.
